Location: Aldrington Basin South, Basin Road South, Brighton, East Sussex, BN41 1WF
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: 40-hour week, Monday - Friday (8:00am-4:30pm)

Job Description

An overview of the role:

• Learning how to read & understand structural engineer drawings
• Learning how to convert these drawings into 'working drawings' using AutoCAD Advanced Steel (CAD software designed specifically for the industry)
• Once approved by the client, your drawings are sent to the workshop where the steels are fabricated & sent out
• Liaising with customers & discussing projects
• Learning how to create estimates for projects
• Working as part of a small, friendly office team
• Pitching in with general day to day office tasks

Who we are looking for:

• Experience using CAD software is preferred however not essential, as full training will be provided to the successful candidate
• Self motivated & enthusiastic
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills (both over the phone & in person)
• Ability to multitask & manage own workload
• Computer literate & confident in using Microsoft office
• An interest in learning a new skill set & trade
• A strong team player

Experience:

• AutoCAD: 1 year (preferred)
