• Previous experience in a similar purchasing, buying, procurement or supply chain role.
• Confident communication with suppliers, colleagues and management.
• Able to plan, co-ordinate and follow through tasks accurately.
• Assertive, organised and precise, with the confidence to follow up suppliers and take ownership.
• Team-focused approach with a personal commitment to cost, quality and delivery targets.

Responsibilities

• Issue tenders and requests for quotations to suppliers and subcontract service providers.
• Support supplier selection, pricing discussions, quality standards and required delivery dates.
• Place purchase orders for components, materials, services and non-manufacturing requirements.
• Expedite supplier deliveries, review planned delivery dates and flag supply risks early.
• Help maintain accurate supplier lists, purchasing records and supplier details.
• Support supply chain development to reduce single-source constraints and improve resilience.
