Job summary

Polytec Personnel Ltd is seeking a Junior Buyer to join a fast-paced Supply Chain team on an 11-month fixed-term contract. The role is based in Ely (CB6) and Cambridge (CB24), offering hybrid working (at least 2 days a week in Ely and 1 day in Cambridge).

The successful candidate will manage procurement processes, support RFIs/RFQs, build supplier relationships, analyze data and support ongoing cost and efficiency initiatives.

Qualifications

• Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Operations or related (or equivalent experience)
• Experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain or a similar role
• Experience with purchase orders and supplier management
• Good commercial awareness and strong communication skills
• Experience using an ERP system, ideally NetSuite or similar
• Organised, proactive and capable of managing competing priorities
• Strong Excel and analytical skills; Power BI desirable
• CIPS or similar qualification desirable
