Job Outline:

The Junior Buyer is responsible for placing purchase orders with suppliers to fulfill customer orders and maintain stock levels of top-selling devices. The role involves sourcing and negotiating the best market prices, ensuring timely delivery at the right cost, and resolving discrepancies quickly to meet customer delivery commitments while minimizing inventory costs.

What the role involves:

• Placing daily purchase orders with suppliers using the Inventory Management System (IMS)
• Ensuring relevant paperwork and credit lines are in place before purchasing high-value or customer-specific products
• Reviewing and authorizing customer order changes and cancellations
• Managing supplier purchase orders through IMS, including rescheduling or cancellations
• Resolving order price discrepancies with marketing and suppliers
• Addressing receiving discrepancies with the Distribution Centre and Product Marketing
• Serving as the first point of contact for production line down resolutions
• Collaborating with sales, product marketing, and suppliers to reduce slow-moving inventory

Do you have:

• Previous purchasing experience (preferable but not essential)
• Strong organizational, prioritization, and proactive skills
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
• Ability to identify and address process flaws proactively
• Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines
