Leeds - 2x a week

Salary - up to £35,000

Fruition Group are working with a well-established tech-first business embarking on a complete technical transformation. This client is looking to hire a Junior Backend Software Engineer to work on a bespoke software platform as part of the business growth.

The Junior Backend Software Engineer will be part of the team responsible for building a bespoke SaaS product and creating a low-latency, high-performing connected platform. You will work with Terraform as infrastructure as code and Node.js as the backend framework, deployed on an AWS platform.

What will I be doing?

• Define and analyze business requirements.
• Support continuous improvement and integrations to enhance deployment.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and testers to develop unit code.
• Work in an AWS environment.

Key requirements:

• AWS experience is essential.
• Experience with React is desirable.
• Understanding of Terraform as infrastructure as code.
• Experience working with REST and GraphQL.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team and independently.
