Junior Backend Software Engineer

Location: Leeds - 2x a week

Salary: Up to £35,000

Fruition IT is working with a well-established, tech-first business embarking on a complete technical transformation. The client is looking to build a team of Software Engineers to develop a bespoke software platform, supporting business growth.

As a Junior Backend Software Engineer, you will be mentored by experienced professionals, enhancing your technical skills with the latest technologies. This role offers excellent opportunities for career progression.

What will I be doing?

1. Developing web applications and systems using JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, and Terraform.
2. Supporting continuous improvement and deployment integrations.
3. Collaborating with senior engineers and architects to develop unit code.
4. Working within an AWS environment.

Key Requirements:

• At least 1 year of experience in a software development environment.
• Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as TypeScript and Node.js.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.

Desirable Experience:

• Knowledge of Node.js.
• Knowledge of Terraform as infrastructure as code.
