Job summary

Bennett & Game Recruitment Ltd. are representing a well-established architectural practice in Cheadle, Cheshire, seeking a Junior Architectural Technologist to join the growing technical team.

You will produce and develop architectural and technical drawings using Revit, support detailed design and RIBA Stages 4 and 5, and gain exposure to construction delivery on automotive showroom projects, with hybrid working options available.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Architectural Technology or related discipline.
• 1–3 years' professional experience as Architectural Technologist or Technician.
• Good working knowledge of Revit is essential.
• Live within commutable distance to Cheadle with hybrid working.

Responsibilities

• Produce and develop architectural and technical drawings using Revit.
• Assist with detailed design and construction information.
• Support projects progressing through RIBA Stages 4 and 5.
• Coordinate with consultants and other disciplines.
• Assist with resolving technical queries and design issues.
• Gain exposure to construction projects and site delivery.

Bennett & Game are representing a well-established and specialist architectural practice based in Cheadle, Cheshire, who are looking for a Junior Architectural Technologist to join their growing technical team. With over 40 years of experience, our client has developed a strong reputation for delivering high-quality architectural projects across the UK, with a particular specialism in the Automotive sector. The practice works with some of the world's leading automotive brands, delivering high-end showroom environments, workshops and associated commercial facilities. The successful candidate will initially support the team on the rollout of new corporate identities and showroom environments for major automotive clients, before developing into a more technically focused position as these schemes progress onto site. This will provide excellent exposure to RIBA Stages 4 and 5, technical design, detailing, coordination and construction delivery. This is an excellent opportunity for a Junior Architectural Technologist or Architectural Technician with good Revit skills who is looking to develop their technical expertise within a supportive and experienced team. The practice has a strong track record of investing in junior staff and offers genuine opportunities to progress as your experience develops.

Junior Architectural Technologist Overview

• Produce and develop architectural and technical drawings using Revit
• Support the preparation of detailed design and construction information
• Assist with projects progressing through RIBA Stages 4 and 5
• Develop an understanding of construction detailing, materials and technical design
• Assist Architects and senior Technologists with the production of technical packages
• Support the coordination of architectural information with consultants and other disciplines

Junior Architectural Technologist Requirements

• Relevant qualification in Architectural Technology, Architectural Design, Interior Design or a related discipline
• Around 1-3 years' professional experience as an Architectural Technologist or Architectural Technician
• Good working knowledge of Revit is essential
• An understanding of technical design and construction detailing
• Some exposure to RIBA Stages 4 and 5 would be advantageous
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good understanding of architectural drawings and technical information
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Commercial, industrial, healthcare or similarly technical project experience would be advantageous
• A willingness to learn, develop and progress within a specialist architectural practice
• Live within a commutable distance of Cheadle, Cheshire, taking the hybrid working arrangement into consideration
