Interaction Technical, a respected supplier of agricultural, ground-care and garden machinery, is seeking a Junior Agricultural Engineer (Level 3 Trainee) in Worksop. You will start with practical training toward becoming a fully qualified Agricultural & Ground‑Care Equipment Technician.

• NVQ/City & Guilds in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred.
• Full UK driving licence advantageous.
• Experience with hydraulics essential.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and service machinery, including emergency repairs.
• Service agricultural machinery such as tractors and combines.
• Travel to customer sites for servicing and repairs.
• Use diagnostic equipment to identify mechanical and electrical faults.
• Maintain high work standards and complete documentation accurately.

Junior Agricultural Engineer (Level 3 Trainee)

Location: Worksop, Nottinghamshire

Salary: £26 – £29 per annum

Hours: Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 17:00

Due to continued business growth, they are looking to recruit a Junior Engineer / Apprentice Engineer who is eager to develop their skills and progress towards becoming a fully trained and qualified Agricultural & Ground-Care Equipment Technician.

The Role

• Diagnosing faults, servicing machinery and carrying out emergency breakdown repairs
• Working on agricultural machinery including tractors, combines, balers and other equipment
• Travelling to customer sites to carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs
• Using diagnostic equipment to identify mechanical and electrical faults
• Working on engines, batteries and hydraulic systems
• Carrying out mechanical and electrical fault finding and repairs
• Working independently at customer sites while maintaining close communication with colleagues
• Completing relevant documentation accurately and efficiently
• Liaising directly with customers to diagnose faults and identify effective solutions
• Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with customer expectations

The Requirements

• Previous experience working with hydraulics alongside mechanical and electrical systems – essential
• Experience within agricultural, automotive, material handling or mechanical engineering environments – advantageous
• Experience in electrical and/or mechanical fault finding, repair and servicing – advantageous
• Experience working with engines and batteries – advantageous
• An NVQ, City & Guilds or similar qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering – advantageous
• A full UK driving licence – advantageous
• A genuine interest in developing a long‑term career within agricultural engineering
• A willingness to learn, undertake training and develop your technical skillset
