Job summary

Interaction Technical in Langworth is seeking a Junior Agricultural Engineer to service and repair agricultural and ground-care machinery, with a focus on diagnostics and on-site repairs.

The role offers extensive on-the-job training, potential Level 3 Land Based Engineering qualification, and generous overtime opportunities within a full-time permanent contract.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with hydraulics alongside mechanical and electrical systems – essential.
• Experience within agricultural, automotive, material handling or mechanical engineering environments – advantageous.
• A full UK driving licence – advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing faults, servicing machinery and carrying out emergency breakdown repairs.
• Working on agricultural machinery including tractors, combines and other equipment.
• Travelling to customer sites to carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs.
• Using diagnostic equipment to identify mechanical and electrical faults.

Hours:Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 17:00
Overtime:1.5× Monday–Saturday | 2× Sundays & Bank Holidays

• £26,000 – £29,000 salary, depending on experience

The Role

As an Agricultural Engineer, you will work on a wide range of agricultural, horticultural and ground-care machinery.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Diagnosing faults, servicing machinery and carrying out emergency breakdown repairs
• Working on agricultural machinery includingtractors, combines, balers and other equipment
• Travelling to customer sites to carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs
• Using diagnostic equipment to identifymechanical and electrical faults
• Working onengines, batteries and hydraulic systems
• Carrying out mechanical and electrical fault finding and repairs
• Working independently at customer sites while maintaining close communication with colleagues
• Completing relevant documentation accurately and efficiently
• Liaising directly with customers to diagnose faults and identify effective solutions
• Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with customer expectations

The Requirements

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• Previous experience working withhydraulicsalongside mechanical and electrical systems –essential
• Experience withinagricultural, automotive, material handling or mechanical engineeringenvironments – advantageous
• Experience inelectrical and/or mechanical fault finding, repair and servicing– advantageous
• Experience working withengines and batteries– advantageous
• AnNVQ, City & Guilds or similar qualificationin mechanical or electrical engineering – advantageous
• Afull UK driving licence– advantageous
• A genuine interest in developing a long-term career within agricultural engineering
• A willingness to learn, undertake training and develop your technical skillset
