Job summary

Norgine is seeking an Assistant Accountant to join our Finance team. You will help maintain the integrity of financial reporting, deliver accurate month-end processes, and support continuous improvement across operational accounting activities in a fast-paced international environment.

This role suits a detail-oriented finance professional who collaborates well, solves problems, and communicates effectively.

Qualifications

• AAT qualified or studying ACCA/CIMA/ACA, or equivalent experience.
• Strong understanding of month-end processes, journals, accruals, reconciliations and problem-solving.
• Experience with fixed assets accounting, tax reporting and audit support.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with clear communication.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and SAP/BlackLine or similar systems.

Responsibilities

• Complete month-end close activities accurately and on time.
• Prepare and post journals, including accruals and prepayments.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation.
• Support VAT, corporate tax and other local filings.
• Assist audits and regulatory submissions.
• Analyse financial data and prepare standard reports.
• Contribute to process improvements and controls.
• Ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Provide accounting support to Accounting Managers.
