Job summary

Oasis Business Personnel Ltd client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join their finance team. This hands-on role reports to the Finance Manager and offers exposure across multiple entities within the Group, supporting day-to-day financial operations and ensuring accurate accounting records.

Qualifications

• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Experience with multi-company accounts and intercompany reconciliations.
• Experience using Xero and advanced Excel proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts across multiple companies.
• Assist with monthly management accounts and month-end reporting.
• Prepare and post journals, including accruals and prepayments.
• Reconcile intercompany balances and investigate discrepancies.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Monitor cash flow and assist with cash forecasts.
• Assist with payroll preparation and administration where required.
• Liaise with external accountants and auditors as required.
• Support ad hoc financial analysis and reporting for the Finance Manager.
