Job summary

Michael Page Finance is supporting a UK-based client in Lancashire to recruit a Junior Accountant who will support the accounting and finance team. You will be involved in essential financial tasks that help keep the business running smoothly on a day-to-day basis.

You will prepare financial statements and reports, assist with month-end and year-end close, post journals, reconcile bank and balance sheets, and help maintain the general ledger.

Qualifications

• Part-qualified status in ACCA/CIMA/ACA or equivalent experience.
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
• Experience with accounting software such as SAP or Oracle.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial work.
• Good organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and related tools.

Profile

A successful Junior Accountant should have:

• Part-qualified status in a recognised accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or be qualified by experience.
• A solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
• Experience working with accounting software and tools similar to SAP and Oracle.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial work.
• Good organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software.

Job Offer

• Salary ranging from £40,000 to £45,000, dependent on the level of experience.
