Job summary

Confidential is seeking an Assistant Accountant to support the finance team in delivering accurate financial information and driving business performance. The role involves analysis, reporting, and supporting a wide range of accounting activities.

Key responsibilities include monthly management accounts, reconciliations, ad hoc reports, and finance systems support. Qualified or part-qualified candidates with strong Excel and analytical skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• To be successful, you will be a proactive and detail-oriented finance professional with strong technical accounting knowledge and excellent analytical skills.
• At least 5 years of experience within a finance or accounting environment.
• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification, or be actively studying towards qualification.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reporting.
• Ensuring accurate processing and reconciliation of financial transactions.
• Preparing and analysing balance sheet reconciliations and financial estimates.
• Working closely with operational teams to resolve accounting and financial queries.
• Producing ad hoc reports, analysis, and insights to support business decision-making.
• Supporting finance systems administration, process improvements, testing, and troubleshooting activities.
• Assisting with the development and support of junior team members where required.
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the finance function.

Your new role
