Ahead of an imminent launch, Barça1899.org is recruiting journalists, analysts, editors and content creators to deliver comprehensive coverage of FC Barcelona. From our first day, we'll be committing to equal coverage the men's and women's first teams.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Journalists: We're looking for Barça1899.org journalists to display a strong command of written English. Being comfortable speaking English is an advantage, as is understanding Spanish and/or Catalan. The ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a remote team is crucial, as is having an inside-out knowledge of FC Barcelona. While prior journalism experience is a positive, it is by no means necessary.

Analysts: We're looking for Barça1899.org analysts to have an in-depth understanding of tactics and a strong command of the English language. The ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a remote team is crucial. Analysts must be able to explain complex game scenarios in basic terms, ensuring the content can be understood by the casual supporter and the diehard fan alike. Having an inside-out knowledge of FC Barcelona is a non-negotiable.

Editors: We're looking for experienced journalists, or those with experience working as part of an editorial team, to join the Barça1899.org team. An impeccable command of written English is required; Spanish/Catalan proficiency would be a bonus. Editors must be comfortable working independently and collaboratively as part of a remote team, and must be able to deliver clear, concise feedback to journalists when needed to increase the quality of written output on the site.

Content Creators: We're looking for Barça1899.org content creators to display an excellent command of both written and spoken English. Proficiency in Spanish and/or Catalan is beneficial. Applicants must be comfortable creating content for a wide range of social media platforms including Facebook, X, Instagram and TikTok. Experience crafting long-form YouTube content is beneficial but by no means required. Past experience with content creation and/or social media management is advantageous.

We must emphasise that at the current moment, all opportunities are unpaid and for this reason, the Barça1899.org team will not be held to any unrealistic time commitments - contribute as little or as often as you'd like. Other media outlets in our network have provided writers with excellent accreditation opportunities and have served as a stepping stone into the world of paid work in the industry.
