Job summary

Asper Recruitment in Birmingham seeks a Draughtsperson to interpret technical drawings and convert them into precise 2D/3D AutoCAD models for customer approval. You will work closely with the Assistant Works Manager to ensure designs meet manufacturability standards.

After approval, you will book the information onto the shop floor to prepare for manufacturing, coordinating with production teams and ensuring accurate transfer of data for fabrication.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role.
• Experience in designing to manufacture.
• Experience with joinery and/or metalwork.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
• Ability to read architectural drawings and convert to a working document.
• Proficient in AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Interpret technical drawings and produce 2D/3D drawings through AutoCAD for customer approval.
• Once approved, book out information onto the shop floor to prepare for manufacturing.

Working within a small team of both internal and external Draughtspersons/ Setter Outs, the appropriate candidate will be working closely with the Assistant Works Manager for interpreting technical drawings and then producing technical 2D/3D drawings through AutoCAD, for customer approval. Once approved, all information is to then be booked out onto the shop floor to prepare for manufacturing.
