Job summary

Asper Recruitment in Mansfield is seeking a skilled design technician to interpret architectural drawings and 3D visuals, and to translate them into precise 2D/3D drawings using AutoCAD or SolidWorks. The role requires at least two years in a similar position, a strong grasp of design for manufacture, and a solid understanding of joinery and manufacturing processes. Once drawings are approved, you will prepare and book them for production on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role.
• Experience in designing to manufacture.
• Experience with joinery.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
• Ability to read architectural drawings and convert to a working document.
• Proficient in AutoCAD or SolidWorks.

Responsibilities

• Interpret technical drawings and 3D visuals from Architects to produce 2D/3D drawings.
• After approval, book out information to the shop floor to prepare for manufacturing.
