Job summary

Progress Housing Group in Leyland is seeking a Multi-Skilled Joiner to deliver reactive repairs, void reinstatement and planned maintenance across client properties. You will provide high-quality joinery services while maintaining safety, productivity and customer satisfaction.

Where required you will undertake related trade work to complete repairs efficiently and in one visit, communicating clearly with customers and stakeholders while following Building Regulations and risk assessments.

Qualifications

• Recognised Trade Qualification (NVQ/SVQ/City & Guilds).
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Experience in multi-skilled work (plumbing, plastering, brickwork, tiling, painting).
• Knowledge of Health and Safety at work.
• Experience in dealing with people in a customer service environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver reactive repairs, void reinstatement and planned maintenance across client properties.
• Provide high-quality joinery services while maintaining safety, productivity and customer satisfaction.
• Carry out related multi-skilled trade work to complete repairs efficiently, often in one visit.

The role

• As a Multi-Skilled Joiner, known internally as a Lead Joiner, you will deliver reactive repairs, void reinstatement, planned maintenance and installation work across internal and external client properties.
• You will provide high-quality joinery services while maintaining strong standards of safety, productivity and customer satisfaction, and representing Progress Housing Group positively at all times.
• Where required, you will undertake related multi-skilled trade work to help complete repairs and maintenance efficiently and, wherever possible, during the first visit.
• You will communicate clearly with customers, colleagues and stakeholders, treating people and their homes with respect and explaining the nature and purpose of each repair or maintenance task.
• From time to time, in order to complete jobs in one visit, you will carry out associated trade work including plastering, rendering, brickwork, plumbing, tiling, screeding and painting, using the appropriate tools and equipment provided by the organisation.
• You will understand and follow all relevant Building Regulations, Codes of Practice and Risk Assessments that apply to the joinery trade.

What we’re looking for

• Recognised Trade Qualification (NVQ/SVQ/City & Guilds)
• Full U.K Driving Licence
• Experience of multi-skilled work in the following areas - plumbing, plastering, brickwork, tiling and painting.
• Knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety at work.
• Experience of dealing with people in a customer service environment.
• Effective communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
• Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS)
• Working with or previously completed works for a Social Housing Landlord
• Aware of development needs and works towards achieving them .
