Job summary

Reed Specialist Recruitment is seeking an experienced Joiner Multi-Skilled Operative to support a busy property maintenance team across the East Midlands, including Beeston. The role is full-time, temporary for minimum 3 months, with hourly PAYE £17.61–£18.70 (umbrella £22.95–£24.40).

You will carry out joinery and carpentry repairs, manage responsive and planned works in occupied and void properties, and perform additional multi-trade tasks.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry & Joinery or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience carrying out housing repairs and maintenance.
• Experience working within social housing, local authority or property maintenance settings.
• Good all-round multi-trade skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out all aspects of joinery and carpentry repairs.
• Complete responsive and planned maintenance works within occupied and void properties.
• Undertake additional multi-trade repairs including basic plumbing, patch plastering, tiling and decorating.
• Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently on the first visit wherever possible.
• Ensure work is completed safely and in line with relevant standards and regulations.
• Provide a professional and customer-focused service to residents.
• Accurately record works completed and materials used.
