Job summary

Build Recruitment seeks an experienced Joiner to join social housing projects around Long Bennington and surrounding areas. You will perform joinery installations, repairs and multi-trade tasks, ensuring high standards and resident satisfaction.

In return, you will receive a £36,000 basic salary, a company vehicle, life cover, and access to benefits such as cycle-to-work, discounts and wellbeing support. NVQ Level 2 or CSCS are preferred qualifications.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds in Joinery required.
• Valid CSCS card required.
• Proven joinery installation and repair experience.
• Experience in construction, social housing or property maintenance.
• Basic knowledge of health and safety in construction.
• Knowledge of joinery materials and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Carry out joinery and multi-trade tasks to a high standard.
• Install and fit joinery components including locks, handles and hinges.
• Measure, cut and assemble wood, composite or metal components.
• Construct and repair doors, windows, cabinets and other joinery items.
• Repair or replace skirting boards, staircases and kitchen units.
• Assist with minor plumbing tasks and leaks repairs.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and complete work within timescales.
• Maintain records of work and materials used.
• Provide a professional, customer-focused service to residents.

A leading social housing contractor is looking for an experienced Joiner to join their team, covering properties across Long Bennington and the surrounding areas.

What will you deliver?

• Carry out joinery and multi-trade tasks to a high standard.
• Install and fit joinery components including locks, handles, hinges and fittings.
• Measure, cut and assemble wood, composite or metal components.
• Construct and repair doors, windows, cabinets and other joinery items.
• Repair or replace skirting boards, staircases, kitchen units and other joinery.
• Assist with minor plumbing tasks, including repairing leaks and replacing taps and fixtures.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and complete work within agreed timescales.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.
• Provide a professional and customer-focused service to residents.

Who are we looking for?

• NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds qualification in Joinery, or equivalent.
• Valid CSCS card.
• Proven experience in joinery installation and repair.
• Previous experience within construction, social housing or property maintenance.
• Basic knowledge of construction health & safety.
• Good knowledge of joinery materials, tools and techniques.
• Basic understanding of plumbing and electrical systems.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Full UK driving licence
