An established industry player in healthcare is seeking a skilled tradesman to join their Estates Department. This role involves providing essential joinery services and maintaining a safe environment for patient care. NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK, employing around 40,000 staff across various clinical and non-clinical roles. We provide acute hospital, primary, community, and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million, extending to 2.2 million when regional and national services are included.
The shift pattern for this position is Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:00.
The Estates Department ensures continuous, high-quality healthcare by maintaining a safe, comfortable, and compliant built environment, supporting clinical care through maintenance, reactive repairs, and critical equipment installation and commissioning.
The department also contributes to managing healthcare-associated infections by ensuring compliance with national standards and audits.
Provide technical support and guidance in designing and implementing clinical service developments, including preparing specifications and tender documents, and managing projects from planning to execution.
