Job summary

Morgan Hunt UK Limited in Bolton is seeking a skilled Joiner to join a maintenance team on a large site. You will perform planned and preventative maintenance, carry out joinery repairs to doors, frames, kitchens, fixtures, and fittings, and contribute to building fabric repairs with safety and quality.

The role offers a temporary contract with immediate start, long-term security with potential progression, and the possibility to move into a permanent position depending on performance.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Carpentry & Joinery, or an equivalent qualification.
• Demonstrable experience working within a maintenance environment.
• A multi-skilled background, with ability to cover additional trades would be desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned and preventative maintenance.
• Completing general joinery repairs and maintenance, including doors, frames, kitchens, fixtures and fittings.
• Undertaking basic multi-trade works, such as patch plastering and minor plumbing.
• Investigating, diagnosing and repairing faults affecting the building fabric.
• Ensuring all work is carried out safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
• Maintaining positive working relationships with customers and site users.

The Role

Our client is seeking a skilled, reliable, and hardworking Joiner to join their maintenance team at a large site in Bolton. You will be responsible for completing planned and preventative maintenance, along with general joinery and building fabric repairs. The role offers long-term, secure work with the opportunity to move into a permanent position, as well as potential progression within the company.

Key Responsibilities

Your day-to-day duties will include:

• Carrying out planned and preventative maintenance.
• Completing general joinery repairs and maintenance, including doors, frames, kitchens, fixtures, and fittings.
• Undertaking basic multi-trade works, such as patch plastering and minor plumbing.
• Investigating, diagnosing, and repairing faults affecting the building fabric.
• Ensuring all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Requirements

To be considered for this position, you will need:
