Job summary

Cheshire College South & West is recruiting two Job Coaches to support our Supported Internship learners at Crewe Campus. You will provide 1:1 assistance to students on their employment placements, helping them perform assigned tasks and develop workplace routines.

The role involves coaching students with SEN, linking with employers to sustain internships and progress to paid roles. A Level 2 or equivalent, DBS clearance and a commitment to equality and inclusion are required, with training

Qualifications

• Level 2 or equivalent qualification.
• GCSE English and Maths (4/5) or equivalent.
• Evidence of relevant CPD.
• Qualification in Systematic Instruction (TSI) or willingness to work towards.
• Proven experience in a similar supportive environment.
• Experience of working with people with learning difficulties and disabilities.
• Full clean driving licence.
• Understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion in work and learning.
• Enhanced DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support for SEN learners on employment placements within a Supported Internship.
• Provide in-depth instruction and coaching to fulfil job tasks with reducing support.
• Engage with employers and colleagues to sustain internships and progression to paid employment.

Education

Level 2 or equivalent qualification

GCSE English/Maths C

Professional development evidence

TSI qualification (willingness to pursue)

Experience in supportive environment
