Job summary

Expleo is seeking a HW Senior Engineer to coordinate the design, development, testing and introduction of automotive ADAS components. The role focuses on delivering the commodity plan to quality, cost and time while leading on technical content and integrity across programmes.

The candidate will progress HW development, support issue resolution, and ensure conformance to standards and documentation across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Experience HW design for automotive – analog and digital.
• Schematic and layout design experience in electronics.
• EMC testing and instrumentation experience.
• DFMEA/FMEDA experience and 8D problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the commodity plan to quality, cost and time.
• Own and deliver the Engineering Advanced Product Quality Planning deliverables.
• Manage Change Requests, expenditure forecasting and supplier teams for milestones.
• Plan component/integration test plans to sign-off and support test teams.
• Ensure all JLR standards are met throughout design maturation.
• Maintain module documentation (minutes, analyses, design history).

Overview

The purpose of this role is to coordinate the design, development, testing and introduction of components or commodities . The role requires the individual to deliver the commodity plan to quality, cost and time and lead on the technical content and integrity of specific components and systems across specific programmes

Responsibilities

As HW senior Engineer the main responsibilities will be related to progress the HW development of ADAS modules and support issues resolution. In general terms these responsibilities can be summarized as follows:Deliver the commodity plan to quality, cost and time, including maintaining the Worldwide Engineering Release SystemOwn and deliver the Engineering Advanced Product Quality Planning deliverablesManage Change Request, expenditure forecasting and the relevant supplier teams in support of delivery of the programme milestonesManage component level/Integration test plans, including detailed planning of test and development stages through to sign off and support Engineering test teams with rectification of issuesResolve issues with component engineering and vehicle attribute teams to develop designs that meet targetsEnsure all appropriate JLR standards are met through-out design maturationProvide input into new feature developmentEnsure all programme design solutions meet:-Programme targets for cost and weight-Legal regulations and Requirements Management & Design Verification documentation-Optical Quality and Premium Consumer Product Audit requirementsKeep all Module documentation up to date including:-Meeting minutes-Foundation and Programme Design analysis documents-Quality history and bill of designUndertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested
