Job Description

Our client, a high-end jewellery company in West London, is seeking a Junior Merchandising Assistant. The Merchandising Assistant will be part of the team and be responsible for the assortment and management of all products in the retail network. They will work to ensure that stores are supported with the right merchandise at the right time while maintaining the integrity of the brand image. The team is focused on maximising stock, sales, and sell-through. The main duties for the role include:

  1. Providing daily support for store requests, deliveries, and stock requests to facilitate all selling efforts.
  2. Arranging regional shipments by coordinating with the Shipping and Sales Liaison departments.
  3. Supporting the Merchandising team with product presentations and coordinating photoshoots with the studio.
  4. Allocating and rebalance stock under the direction of the Merchandising team.
  5. Assisting the Merchandising team in implementing regional pricing updates, conducting market research, and competitor analysis.
  6. Running daily and weekly sales and stock reports, and providing administrative support to the Merchandising team.
  7. Performing ad-hoc tasks as needed.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, attention to detail, thoroughness, and a commitment to accuracy are essential. Candidates should have an interest in jewellery, with basic diamond knowledge being beneficial. A first-time job seeker in high-end retail or the jewellery industry would be suitable, especially those with an analytical mindset.
