Job summary

Lanes Group is seeking a JetVac Assistant to join the Stockton-on-Tees Depot. You will work in a two-person team to attend drainage issues, operate high-pressure jetting equipment, and support CCTV inspections and RAMS preparation.

Location: Stockton-on-Tees. Hours: 40 per week, Monday to Friday. Salary: £13–£14 per hour depending on experience. 21 days holiday plus bank holidays. Full UK driving licence required. Join a diverse, safety‑conscious team focused on responsive drainage solutions.

Qualifications

• Team of two; able to work as part of a two-person team.
• Full UK driving licence required.
• Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors.
• Experience in drainage, utilities or plant operation is desirable but not essential.
• Strong health & safety awareness preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery as part of a two-person team.
• Ensure all health & safety requirements are followed.
• Communicate with customers about scheduled works and address concerns.
• Identify drainage issues including blockages and root ingress.
• Operate high-pressure water jetting to clear drains and pipes.
• Remove waste materials and prevent buildup in wastewater systems.
• Conduct routine equipment checks and maintenance.
• Support CCTV inspections to assess underground pipes.
• Assist in emergency response for flooding and urgent drainage issues.
• Learn to complete RAMS under supervision.
