Job summary

Lanes Group in Birmingham is recruiting for a HGV Jetting Assistant to support the HGV Jetting Operative in high-pressure jetting operations. Location is Birmingham, with 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, and a pay rate of £13.00 per hour.

You will assist with setting up equipment, conduct inspections, complete site documentation, and ensure safety standards are followed. Training will be provided on relevant modules, and there are opportunities for progression within the team.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence, with no more than 6 penalty points.

Responsibilities

• Assist the HGV jetting operator in setting up and operating high‑pressure water jetting equipment.
• Carry out inspections, identify blockages and leaks, and resolve issues.
• Update site documentation using an electronic tablet.
• Follow approved method statements, health and safety rules, and keep a safe working environment.
• Maintain equipment and tools to ensure good condition.
• Wear and maintain required Personal Protective Equipment at all times.

Responsibilities

• Assist the HGV jetting operator in setting up and operating high-pressure water jetting equipment. Operating machinery and tools safely.
• Carry out inspections & identify possible blockages, leaks and resolve the issues.
• Updating and completing site documentation using electronic tablet.
• Ensure all works are carried out in line with approved method statements and safe system of work and follow health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment and report any issues.
• Maintain equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working condition.
• Wearing and maintaining any Personal Protective Equipment provided for your protection at all times.

Experience And Qualifications

• Full UK driving license, with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Training will be provided on: Water Jetting Association Red or blue book, Banksman, NRSWA, EUSR National Water Hygiene, Medium risk confined space.
