Job summary

Mastek Limited is delivering a high-profile programme for a central government department in the UK. You will join a multidisciplinary team, promoting learning and transparency using agile/lean practices while removing blockers to speed delivery.

The Java/AWS Developer will build solutions and simulators within the end-to-end system, applying strong SDLC knowledge and a flexible, quick-to-learn mindset.

Qualifications

• Hands on experience with Java 8 or above
• Hands on experience on writing Junits
• Hands on experience on Spring Framework, SpringBoot
• Hands on experience with relational database (e.g. PostgreSQL)
• Hands-on experience on Git, Jenkins
• Understanding of micro-services architecture
• Understanding of AWS services like ECS, EKS, S3, SQS
• Understanding of REST APIs
• Understanding of CICD
• Good understanding of Kubernetes
• Nice to have: Docker, AWS API Gateway and Serverless technologies
• Nice to have: BPM framework
• Nice to have: Mustache template
• Nice to have: Large scale integration projects with messaging, web services and distributed systems
• Nice to have: ELK stack
• Nice to have: OpenStack platform

Responsibilities

• Develop solutions and simulators as part of the end-to-end solution
• Contribute to the software development lifecycle with an agile/lean approach
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to remove blockers
• Engage with senior client stakeholders and end-users to build credibility
• Adapt quickly to learn new technologies and domains
