Job summary

LSEG (London Stock Exchange Group) is seeking a highly technical, hands-on Java developer to contribute to backend services and web applications within the Data & Analytics team. You will design, develop, and maintain backend systems, integrate with frontend components, and collaborate with senior engineers in an Agile environment to deliver scalable trading platform features.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent software engineering qualification.
• 4–8+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong Java fundamentals and modern Spring ecosystem.
• Experience building REST APIs and relational databases.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to design, development, and implementation of backend services and web applications.
• Writes clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following established engineering practices.
• Collaborates with senior engineers and architects in technical design discussions.
• Works with frontend developers to integrate backend services with UI components.
• Supports troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimization of applications.
• Delivers user stories within agreed timelines and participates in Agile ceremonies.
