Your role:

You will apply a software engineering mindset to problems, whether provisioning services, writing code, or automation tools and scripts. You will strive to build reliable and performant services that are operationally sound, focusing on doing things better and faster, eliminating waste across the software delivery lifecycle.

What you’ll do:

• Deliver business outcomes from requirements into production environment.
• Take responsibility for your code's performance, security, and deployment, embodying the 'you build it, you run it' philosophy.
• Collaborate with the team to deliver high-quality code.
• Apply knowledge of software architecture to solve business problems.
• Support and educate: help raise development standards, automate processes, and share knowledge with platform teams.
• Implement automation in CI, CD, security tooling, code quality, and deployment processes.
• Provide technical support during application transition into live service and ongoing support.

Your skills and experience:

• Experience with Java and AWS.
• Experience with Spring framework or equivalent.
• Knowledge of software design patterns and their application.
• Strong understanding of development processes.
• Experience with containerisation using Docker or Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Passion for quality code, TDD, and high software standards.
• Experience designing microservice architectures using DDD, CQRS, and Event Sourcing patterns.
