Job summary
Computer Futures in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Java Developer for a 6-month contract to support an AWS migration programme.
The role is hands-on, focusing on migrating services from a single AWS account to a multi-account AWS environment, with strong Java coding, testing, and monitoring.
You will work with Spring Boot, Grafana dashboards, and participate in code reviews and performance tuning.
Qualifications
- Strong commercial Java development experience.
- Strong hands-on coding ability.
- Experience with Spring Boot.
- Good knowledge of AWS services and cloud environments.
- Experience writing and maintaining unit tests.
- Experience reviewing code and working within established development standards.
- Experience monitoring applications and investigating logs.
- Experience working with Grafana dashboards.
- Comfortable troubleshooting application and service issues.
Responsibilities
- Designing and writing high-quality Java code.
- Reviewing code produced by other developers.
- Developing and maintaining unit tests.
- Monitoring services and application performance.
