Job Summary:

The part-time janitor will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of assigned areas in a commercial or residential setting. The janitor will perform routine cleaning duties and maintain a clean and orderly environment for employees, clients, or residents. This position requires a strong attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cleaning and Maintenance:
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and buff floors in all designated areas, including hallways, restrooms, offices, and common areas.
• Dust and wipe down surfaces such as desks, tables, shelves, and counters.
• Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces.
• Disinfect restrooms, ensuring they are fully stocked with necessary supplies (soap, toilet paper, etc.).
• Empty trash cans and replace liners; dispose of waste properly.
• Special Cleaning Tasks:
• Assist with periodic deep-cleaning tasks, such as Gum Removal, Jet Washing window washing.
• Clean and maintain the cleanliness of any special equipment or machinery, as needed.
• Safety and Maintenance:
• Monitor and report any safety hazards, equipment malfunctions, or maintenance issues to the appropriate department or management.
• Ensure cleaning supplies are stored safely and in compliance with safety regulations.

Qualifications:

• Prior janitorial or custodial experience is preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Good time management and organizational skills.
• Reliability and punctuality.
• Ability to follow safety guidelines and handle cleaning chemicals appropriately.

Working Conditions:

• Flexible hours (evenings, weekends, or early mornings, depending on business hours).
• Ability to work in a variety of settings, including offices, commercial buildings, and other facilities.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, bend, lift, and carry items for extended periods.
• Comfortable working with cleaning chemicals and maintaining cleanliness of the facility.
