Job summary

Randstad Delivery in Birmingham is seeking an experienced Janitor for an evening shift. Based at 8 Calthorpe Road, Edgbaston, you will cover lab, washroom and office cleaning, with 5pm to 7:30pm hours and Monday to Friday pattern.

Start ASAP for 3 months with potential extension. The role requires GMP familiarity, attention to detail and good communication skills, with paid holiday and progression opportunities. Competitive hourly pay of £13.20.

Qualifications

• Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).
• Team player and reliable.
• Proficiency in the English language.
• Experience in pharmaceutical or food processing environments.
• Familiarity with GMP and attention to detail is assets.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning of labs, washrooms, offices, hallways, and cafeteria areas.
• Performs waste disposal and recycling services.
• Daily upkeep of general areas including dusting and polishing fixtures.
• Manage facility projects such as stripping and waxing floors and cleaning air diffusers.
• Maintain exterior of building and cleaning of smoking area.
• Ensure regular replenishing of dispensers including paper, soap, and garments.

Are you an experience Janitor? Are you based in or around Birmingham? Are you looking for an evening shift?

Role: Janitor

Location: 8 Calthorpe Road, Edgbaston, Birmingham, B15 1QT

Rate: Basic pay £13.20 per hour.

Shift Patterns: Monday - Friday

Hours: 5pm - 7.30pm (12.5hrs)

Start: ASAP for 3 months potentially longer

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning of labs, washrooms, offices, hallways, and cafeteria areas of the facility.
• Performs waste disposal and recycling services.
• Daily upkeeps general areas including dusting, polishing of fixtures and brass, along with managing customer requests for cleaning, waste disposal, moving, requests in a timely manner.
• Manages and completes facility projects such as stripping and waxing floors, cleaning of air diffusers and exhaust grills, etc.
• Maintains exterior of building including removing of debris, sweeping of walkways, and cleaning of smoking area.
• Ensures regular replenishing of all facility dispensers including paper, soap, and production garments.

Essential requirements

• Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written).
• Team Player.
• Proficiency of the English language.
• Experience in a pharmaceutical or food processing environment, Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices and Attention to detail are assets.
