Job summary

Thales is hiring a 2027 Systems Engineering (IVVQ) Apprentice — a Level 3 Mechatronics Maintenance Technician Apprenticeship based in Cheadle, United Kingdom. The role offers a paid apprenticeship with on‑the‑job experience in the Underwater Systems Sonar business and a clear path to a permanent role upon completion.

You will support IVVQ activities, conduct testing, and work closely with Lead Engineers and IVVQ Managers to ensure systems meet technical specifications before delivery.

Qualifications

• 5 GCSEs at grades 9-4 (A-C) including English and Maths.

Responsibilities

• Support integration, validation, verification and qualification (IVVQ) of systems.
• Conduct testing activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Assist in preparation of systems for customer acceptance and final delivery.
• Use specialist tools and diagnostic equipment to verify hardware and software.
• Work under guidance of Lead Engineers and IVVQ Managers.
