Job summary

Washington County Public Schools seeks a Paraprofessional Special Education Itinerant Adult Support at Lincolnshire Elementary School. This 7 hours/day, 10-month position reports to the BCBA Coordinator and supports a student per IEP, with location changes as needed.

Starting hourly rate is $19.26, with potential earnings up to $34.84 on the ESP Salary Scale and a 10% differential for relevant experience. Closing date 10/19/2026.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to attain CPI certification and any required methodologies.
• Two years' experience with children or equivalent education/experience.

Responsibilities

• Support individual students and small groups to reinforce/model academic, behavioral, and social skills.
• Document data to support progress monitoring and behavior plans.
• Assist teacher with strategy development and instruction.
• Operate and care for classroom equipment and supervise students.
• Respond to behavior crises with de-escalation and, if necessary, physical restraint per policy.

Education

High School Diploma/GED

AA degree or 48 credit hours or Paraprofessional Praxis Test
