Job summary

Deliveroo is seeking an Italy Payroll Analyst to oversee the end-to-end payroll process for the Italy population. You’ll partner with HR, Finance, Employment Tax, Legal and external providers to ensure accurate, compliant and timely payroll delivery.

This role requires deep knowledge of Italian payroll legislation and taxation, and expertise in Workday and CloudPay. You will drive automation, data integrity and payroll governance across our global payroll initiatives.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive payroll experience, including Italian payroll and statutory compliance.
• Strong knowledge of Italian payroll legislation, employment taxation, social security and statutory requirements.
• Experience managing or overseeing outsourced payroll providers, ideally within multinational organisations.
• Experience with Workday and/or CloudPay is preferred but not essential.
• Proven ability to manage the full payroll lifecycle, including inputs, validation, reconciliation and reporting.
• Strong payroll controls, governance and data integrity expertise.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Fluent Italian and strong English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end Italy payroll process from data preparation to sign-off.
• Act as the Italy Payroll SME on legislation, taxation and statutory requirements.
• Oversee outsourced payroll processing with CloudPay and ensure SLAs.
• Partner with HR, Finance, Tax and Legal to resolve issues and data flows.
• Maintain payroll governance and robust controls across cycles.
• Drive continuous improvement and automation of processes.
• Support Workday and CloudPay implementations and migrations.
