Job summary

Interaction Recruitment is seeking an IT Repair Technician in Huntingdon to diagnose faults, repair and test IT equipment including laptops, PCs, printers and POS systems. The role is hands-on and based in a busy workshop, with a strong emphasis on practical problem solving and quality control.

You will work from a well-established IT services provider, in a temporary-to-permanent position that offers real potential to secure a permanent role for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Hands-on repair experience in an IT workshop environment.
• Experience repairing PCs, laptops and printers.
• Experience with point-of-sale equipment and break-fix repairs.
• Strong troubleshooting and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and perform hardware repairs.
• Repair and test laptops, PCs, desktops and workstations.
• Work with printers and point-of-sale equipment.
• Carry out break-fix repairs and identify root causes.
• Test equipment to meet quality standards.
• Follow workshop procedures and health & safety/ESD requirements.
• Accurately complete paperwork and update internal systems.
• Manage workload and prioritise repairs to meet service levels.
• Liaise with senior engineers regarding priorities and workloads.
• Share knowledge and best practices with colleagues.
