Job summary

Operations Resources is seeking an IT Technician / EPOS Field Service Engineer to swap IT and EPOS hardware in retail stores across the North of Manchester to West Yorkshire. Ideally based in Oldham, Rochdale or Huddersfield.

You will drive a fully expensed company van (with personal use) to multiple sites, working standard hours 09:00–17:30 with overtime paid. On-call rotation is included and weekends are required.

Qualifications

• Experience with EPOS hardware and PC hardware.
• Ability to perform swaps of IT and EPOS equipment.
• Must hold a full manual driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Attend field service calls at client stores to replace IT and EPOS equipment.
• Drive to multiple sites across the region on a 5-days-a-week schedule.
• Work on Saturdays and Sundays on a 1-in-2 / 1-in-3 rotation.
• Provide evenings on-call coverage when required.

IT Technician / Computer Hardware Engineer to do Field Service

EPOS Field Service Engineer

Looking for someone confident on PC hardware to undertake swap outs of IT and EPOS equipment (electronic point of sale - till systems) for well-known retail brands across the North of Manchester to West Yorkshire area, an ideal home location would be anywhere Oldham / Rochdale / Huddersfield.

You must have a full manual driver's licence to apply for this role.

A fully expensed company van, with personal usage is provided.

You will be required to drive to multiple sites per day, to attend field service calls on the IT and EPOS equipment in the client's customer's stores.

Training on EPOS hardware will be given.

The role requires work 5 days out of 7 to cover Saturdays and Sundays, on 1 in 2 Saturdays, 1 in 3 Sundays.

Standard hours 0900 - 17:30, overtime is paid outside of this.

Package of £28253 + Van + overtime; made up of a Basic salary of £27300 and shift / rotation, on call payments of around £953 per annum.

You will be the Evening On-Call Engineer, currently 1 week in 6, where you work 12:00 - 20:00 standard hours + emergency on call until 22:00.

This is a 40 hours per week full-time PAYE contract.

For any additional hours worked (including travelling), overtime is paid at x1.5 Mon - Saturday and x2 Sunday and bank holidays (most Engineers do £3000+ per annum in overtime).

This is a full-time permanent job with a fully expensed company van (with personal use), pension, paid holiday, and private medical insurance.
