Job summary

A leading energy supplier in the UK seeks an IT Technician to provide timely IT support, manage systems, and assist with certifications. The role requires travel between Leicester and Nottingham, demanding excellent communication and technical skills.

Location: Leicester (travel to our Nottingham site will be required, therefore access to a car is essential)

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours a week, with occasional out of hours and weekend working.

As we continue to grow and innovate in the dynamic energy sector, we are seeking a skilled and experienced professional to join our team as IT Technician. The role will be primarily based at our Innovation Centre in Nottingham, with some travel to our corporate office in Leicester and other sites.

What We Need from Yü

Here’s a taste of what you’ll be doing:

  • Ensuring all IT support tickets are dealt with in a timely, professional, and efficient manner.
  • Ensuring that all IT support calls are recorded accurately within the ticketing system.
  • Carrying out support for client users with day-to-day IT issues.
  • Maintaining business conferencing systems.
  • Setting up, installing, and configuring PCs, laptops, and mobile devices for internal users.
  • Active Directory administration.
  • M365 configuration and management.
  • Creating user guides for colleagues and users.
  • Asset management.
  • Assisting with site moves and equipment relocation.
  • Experience with Helpdesk ticketing systems and working to SLAs.
  • Supporting the renewal of ISO7001 and Cyber Essentials Plus certification.

Technical skills and knowledge required:

  • M365 administration, configuration, and monitoring.
  • Active Directory and Group Policy.
  • Laptop and desktop imaging, device management.
  • Use of cloud-based services and technologies.
  • Windows OS configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Software installation and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with MS Intune, Autopilot, Entra is advantageous.
  • A valid driving license and access to a vehicle are required for site visits.
