Department: YUG - 9032 - General IT & Helpdesk

Location: Leicester

Compensation: £25,000 - £28,000 / year

Description

Reports to: Head of Infrastructure and IS

Location: Leicester (travel to Nottingham site required; access to a car is essential)

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours/week, with occasional out-of-hours and weekend work

Yü Group Plc is a leading energy supplier in the UK, committed to reliable and sustainable energy solutions. We are seeking an IT Technician to work mainly at our Nottingham Innovation Centre, with some travel to Leicester and other sites.

Responsibilities:
  1. Handle IT support tickets promptly and professionally.
  2. Record support calls accurately in the ticketing system.
  3. Support client users with daily IT issues.
  4. Maintain business conferencing systems.
  5. Set up, install, and configure PCs, laptops, and mobile devices.
  6. Administer Active Directory.
  7. Manage Windows Desktop via Group Policy.
  8. Configure and manage M365.
  9. Create user guides for colleagues and users.
  10. Manage assets and assist with site moves.
  11. Work with Helpdesk ticketing system and SLAs.
  12. Support ISO7001 and Cyber Essentials Plus renewal.
Candidate Profile:
  • Ambitious, team-oriented, motivated, organized, detail-oriented.
  • Good communication skills, ability to prioritize workloads.
  • Understanding of IT security principles.
  • Flexible to support business changes and projects.
Technical Skills:
  • M365 administration and configuration.
  • Active Directory and Group Policy.
  • Device management, imaging, troubleshooting.
  • Cloud services, Windows OS, anti-malware, mobile device management.
  • Experience with MS Intune, Autopilot, Entra is advantageous.
  • Driving license and vehicle for site visits.
