Job summary

GLF Schools is seeking an IT Technician to join the thriving IT Team based at Glyn School, Epsom. You will provide first and second-line support across hardware and software, helping to ensure IT services support teaching and learning.

The role may involve visiting other GLF schools in the Epsom & Ewell area and attending IT training events. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of relevant experience, knowledge of ITIL concepts, and good communication with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in a similar IT support role.
• Experience with hardware and software installation, configuration and deployment.
• Experience in an educational environment is beneficial.
• Ability to communicate with stakeholders.
• Understanding of ITIL, service and project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Provide first and second-line IT support to users.
• Assist in ensuring IT services deliver benefits to teaching and learning.
• Occasionally visit other GLF schools in the Epsom & Ewell region and attend IT training events.

The successful candidate will benefit from the support of our experienced IT teams located throughout Surrey and Oxfordshire and will build links with the Trust IT team and the Service Delivery Manager and Head of Operations.The candidate will provide first and second-line support, working with a range of systems and users with varying skills, and will need to find solutions to issues affecting all aspects of IT. The candidate will assist in ensuring that IT services deliver benefits to teaching and learning. This role is based at Glyn School. On occasion, the candidate may be required to visit other GLF schools in the Epsom & Ewell region. The candidate will also be required to attend IT team training events held at the GLF Trust offices (Earlsfield, Banstead) at scheduled dates.A full UK driving license is beneficial, but not a requirement if the candidate can demonstrate that they have the means to meet the travel requirements for the role.What we are looking forThis is an exciting role with a varied work stream, and we require an intelligent and enthusiastic person who can think creatively to solve issues independently, but who can also work effectively with our wider IT and school teams.
