Job summary

A reputable educational institution in the UK is seeking a skilled IT Technician. The candidate will install and support personal computers, provide planning and evaluation of hardware and software, and ensure system efficiency. Ideal applicants should have experience with Windows 10 and Microsoft Office, and demonstrate strong teamwork and customer service skills. This is a permanent, full-time position with 37.5 hours per week from Monday to Friday.

Overview

Bury Grammar School is proud of its IT infrastructure and software developments that support the school and its community. The IT infrastructure is spread across several sites linked by fibre connectivity with a single domain providing a secure environment for users to login from school or home. We are a Microsoft school using Office365 and pupils have a Microsoft Device.

The Post

We are recruiting for a skilled IT Technician or recent graduate to join our outward-looking and high achieving IT Services Team. Under the supervision of two Deputy IT Managers and two Senior IT Technicians, the IT Technician will install and support personal computers and network operations; provide hardware and software planning and evaluation; provide problem solving and training for end users; and ensure system efficiency and integrity.

Employment Details

This is a permanent, full-time position, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 4:30pm. The role is within our corporate services and the candidate will be expected to work all year round including term-time holidays.
