Job summary

Apple-First MSP in London (Hybrid) seeks a hands-on IT Technical Lead to shape the technical direction of the business. This senior role is an individual contributor, not a service-desk manager, with real authority to influence architecture and delivery.

You'll own the internal stack (identity, MDM, RMM), mentor engineers, and guide end-to-end client projects from scoping to BAU. Pre-sales involvement and client-facing work are part of the role.

Qualifications

• 5+ years using Apple (macOS/iOS) in a business setting.
• Solid Windows Desktop/Server knowledge.
• Experience leading technical projects end-to-end.
• Comfortable presenting to clients and translating tech outcomes.
• ITIL exposure; familiarity with compliance frameworks a plus.
• Previous MSP experience is a bonus, not required.

Responsibilities

• Final escalation point for complex Apple, Microsoft 365, networking, and identity/MDM issues.
• Own and evolve internal stack: identity mgmt, MDM, RMM; challenge tools for cost and quality.
• Lead end-to-end delivery of client projects from scoping to BAU handover.
• Mentor L1/L2 engineers; share knowledge and raise technical bar.
• Participate in pre-sales, site visits, proposals, and define tech stack for clients.
• Influence technical roadmap and vendor decisions with sound arguments.

IT Technical Lead | Apple-First MSP | London (Hybrid) |

We're working with a growing, Apple-first Managed Service Provider on a newly created senior technical role. This isn't a service-desk management job - it's a hands-on, senior individual contributor position for someone who wants to shape the technical direction of the business.

The role:

• Final escalation point for complex technical issues (Apple, Microsoft 365, networking, identity/MDM) - but the real value-add is upstream of that
• Own and evolve the internal technical stack: identity management, MDM, RMM - challenge what's being used, why, and whether it still makes sense for cost and service quality
• Lead delivery of complex client projects end-to-end, from scoping through to BAU handover
• Mentor and upskill L1/L2 engineers - informal training, knowledge-sharing, raising the technical bar across the team
• Get involved in pre-sales and client-facing work: site visits, proposals, and helping define the tech stack the business presents to clients
• Genuine influence over technical roadmap and vendor decisions - this is a business that will back well-argued change

About you:

• 5+ years working with Apple (macOS/iOS) in a business environment, plus solid Windows Desktop/Server knowledge
• The kind of person with a home lab, an opinion on every MDM platform, and a compulsive need to go and research something the moment you don't know it
• Experience leading technical projects end-to-end, not just running a service desk
• Comfortable in front of clients - able to translate technical work into outcomes non-technical stakeholders care about
• ITIL exposure and familiarity with a compliance framework (ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials, SOC 2) a plus
• Previous MSP experience is a bonus, not a requirement - what matters more is genuine curiosity about the space and the ability to reason your way through unfamiliar tools and platforms
