Job summary

Understanding Recruitment is partnering with a growing investment technology business in City of London to appoint an IT Systems Administrator who will own a modern Microsoft environment. You’ll manage Microsoft 365, Azure, devices, networking and security, reporting to senior stakeholders and strengthening the firm’s infrastructure.

The role offers on-site working, exposure to cloud security, AI tools and opportunities for career progression within a collaborative tech team.

Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint).
• Solid knowledge of Windows 11 and Windows Server environments.
• Proficient in endpoint management and Microsoft Defender.
• Networking, Wi‑Fi and firewalls experience.
• Information security focus with ISO 27001 exposure.
• Familiarity with AI tools that enhance IT productivity.

Responsibilities

Are you an experienced IT Systems Administrator looking to take ownership of a modern Microsoft environment within a growing financial technology business?

We're partnering with an innovative investment reporting company that delivers business-critical solutions to asset management firms worldwide. As the company continues to grow, they're looking for a hands-on IT Systems Administrator to become the go-to expert for their internal technology estate.

The Role

You’ll join a collaborative technology team where you’ll take responsibility for the day-to-day management of Microsoft 365, Azure, end-user devices, networking, security and IT support. This is a highly visible position where you’ll have genuine ownership, work directly with senior stakeholders and play a key role in strengthening the company’s security and infrastructure.

You’ll also have the opportunity to:

• Own and develop the Microsoft 365 and Azure environment
• Support ISO 27001 initiatives and strengthen cyber security
• Help drive AI adoption across the business
• Gain exposure to AWS infrastructure
• Work on a broad range of infrastructure, networking and end-user technologies
