Job summary

The University of Oxford’s Nuffield Department of Medicine IT Team in Oxford is seeking an IT Support Technician (Maternity Cover) to deliver first-line IT support to staff, students and visitors across a busy research and admin environment.

You will troubleshoot hardware, software and AV issues, maintain service records and assist with configuring new equipment while providing excellent customer service and working collaboratively with colleagues.

Qualifications

• Educated to A-Level standard or equivalent experience.
• Experience providing first-line IT support in a professional environment.
• Broad knowledge of Windows and macOS systems.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line IT support for hardware, software and AV equipment.
• Resolve service desk requests and configure new IT equipment.
• Support common Microsoft applications and maintain service records.
• Contribute to IT documentation and hardware asset management.
• Collaborate with colleagues to deliver efficient IT services.
