Wigan and Leigh College is seeking an IT Support Technician to ensure IT equipment, software, AV and infrastructure run smoothly across the campus. You will support curriculum delivery by preparing, maintaining and troubleshooting equipment and by working with colleagues to resolve technical issues.
This is a practical, hands-on role for someone with recent IT technical experience who enjoys solving problems and helping people.

As our IT Support Technician, you’ll help make that happen.
You’ll provide cross-college technical support to staff and students, helping to keep IT equipment, software, AV and associated infrastructure working effectively. You’ll support curriculum delivery by preparing, maintaining and troubleshooting equipment, and by working with colleagues to resolve technical issues.
This is a practical, hands‑on role for someone with recent IT technical experience who enjoys solving problems and helping people.
You’ll need good knowledge of IT hardware and software, confidence supporting equipment and the ability to communicate clearly with users who may have different levels of technical confidence.
