The Role – IT Support Technician

Based in our Leeds branch, you will as our IT Support Technician provide technical assistance to the IT Team. This role includes installing, configuring and maintaining hardware and software as well as offering guidance on new technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Hardware and Software Management: Installing, configuring, and maintaining computer operating systems and software.
• Troubleshooting and Problem Solving: Diagnosing and resolving issues with computers, peripherals, and networks.
• User Support: Providing technical assistance to users, either in person, over the phone, or remotely.
• Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintaining records of work performed, issues encountered, and solutions implemented.
• Training and support: Providing training and support to users on new software and hardware

Skills Required

• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of operating systems (Windows 11, Windows Server 2022), hardware (PC’s, Laptops, Wyse Terminals), software (MS 365, OneDrive, SharePoint), and networking.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
• Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with users and colleagues.
• Customer Service Skills: Ability to provide friendly and helpful support to users.
• Adaptability: Ability to learn new technologies and adapt to changing environments.
