MTrec Ltd is recruiting an IT Support Technician on behalf of a market-leading client for a full-time permanent position.

You will deliver effective IT support across the business and back up managers on a wide range of IT projects, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and proactive problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Deliver IT support across the business and assist managers on IT projects.
• Ensure smooth day-to-day IT operations and back up colleagues.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues across the network.
• Perform regular system maintenance and updates.
• Carry out daily checks and backups.
• Assist with onboarding/offboarding and desk moves (PCs/phones).
• Raise external support calls with key suppliers as needed.
• Complete IT projects and assist other departments with IT presence.

The Role

• You will deliver effective IT support across all aspects of the business and will provide back up and support to managers on a wide range of IT related projects.

• Perform regular system maintenance and updates.
• Daily checks and maintenance procedures such as ensuring backups have been completed.
• Assist with new starters/leavers and support desk moves such as PCs and phones.
• Raise external support calls with key suppliers when required.
• Complete IT projects set by management and assist other departments where an IT presence is required.

The Person

• Previous similar experience in an IT role.
• Demonstratable experience in the engineering/manufacturing industry would be beneficial.
• Excellent decision making and attention to detail skills.
• Positive, proactive and dynamic look for solutions to problems and ways to improve.
• Remain flexible in an ever-changing environment.
