Job Overview

We are seeking an IT Support Technician to provide technical support and ensure effective IT resource deployment across QAHE sites. You will work closely with academic staff and the wider team to support current and emerging technologies, enhance the student and staff experience, and support departmental projects.

Key Responsibilities

1. Prepare, maintain, and deploy IT resources for course delivery and IT needs.
2. Ensure a positive IT experience for students both in and outside the classroom.
3. Provide first-line response to classroom technology issues.
4. Assist with classroom expansions, changes, and provisions.
5. Understand system requirements to support innovative teaching technologies.
6. Collaborate with academics and staff to support applications, systems, and projects.

Additional Responsibilities

1. Conduct deployment planning to mitigate issues.
2. Support project delivery as requested.
3. Maintain skills for vendor technology support.
4. Maintain professional customer service standards.
5. Identify, report, and resolve technical issues.

Required Experience

• Management of server/comms rooms, including cabling and labelling.
• Experience with technical setups like workstation/server builds (desirable).
• Ability to write and maintain technical documentation.
• Proven experience in analyzing and resolving technical issues.
