Job summary

Cardo Group is seeking an IT Support Assistant to join our Cardiff team. Reporting to the Head of IT, you will provide first-line support for devices, applications and services, resolve issues by phone, in person or remotely, and assist with onboarding and offboarding processes.

You will work closely with our MSP and internal teams to maintain security best practices, manage tickets, and help roll out new applications and IT improvements, contributing to reliable daily operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years' IT support experience.
• Knowledge of operating systems, hardware, backups and monitoring tools.
• Experience with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, OneDrive and Entra ID.
• Understanding of ITIL and cybersecurity best practices.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line IT support for devices, apps, and systems.
• Respond to requests within agreed timescales and manage multiple tickets.
• Set up new users, accounts, devices and profiles during onboarding.
• Support offboarding activities, including removal of access and deprovisioning.
• Assist with password issues and access requests.
• Roll out new applications and IT improvements.
• Collaborate with MSP and internal teams to resolve issues.
• Maintain IT asset lists and portals.
• Promote cybersecurity best practices and compliance with Cyber Essentials.
• Test and evaluate new technology as required.
