Job summary

OXB in Oxford, UK is seeking an IT Support Manager to lead the IT Support team and ensure reliable, secure services across the business. You will drive ITSM, manage third-party providers, and ensure compliance with GxP, data integrity and information security, while championing continuous improvement.

The role focuses on developing a high-performing IT demand and support function in a fast-growing biopharma environment, with emphasis on governance, cyber security, disaster recovery and service

Qualifications

• Experience supporting enterprise IT infrastructure in regulated environments (GxP).
• Strong technical knowledge of operating systems, networking, hardware and software.
• Proven direct line management experience and leadership capabilities.
• Familiar with ITSM processes and change control in validated systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day IT Support operations ensuring reliable and high-performing services.
• Develop and manage the IT Support team, prioritising workloads and incidents.
• Ensure operations comply with GxP, Data Integrity, information security and validation requirements.

We’re currently recruiting for an IT Support Manager to join our Information Systems team. In this role, you will lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the IT Support team, ensuring reliable, secure and efficient IT services, playing a key part in advancing our mission and making a real difference.

Your responsibilities in this role would be to:

• Lead day to day IT Support operations, ensuring reliable, high performing services and systems across the business.


• Manage and develop the IT Support team, prioritising workloads and ensuring timely resolution of incidents, requests and user issues.


• Ensure IT operations remain compliant with GxP, Data Integrity, Information Security, validation and change control requirements.


• Own and continuously improve ITSM processes, including Incident, Request, Problem, Knowledge and Major Incident Management.


• Oversee IT hardware, software, collaboration platforms, asset lifecycle management and operational procurement activities.


• Manage third party suppliers and service providers, ensuring agreed service levels, compliance and delivery commitments are achieved.


• Drive cyber security, identity and access management, business continuity and disaster recovery activities, including audit and inspection support.


• Monitor service performance through KPIs and customer feedback, championing continuous improvement, automation and a customer focused support culture.

We are looking for:

• Proven experience supporting enterprise IT infrastructure and GMP-regulated computerised systems within a regulated environment.


• A degree in a relevant field or HNC/HND would be advantageous.


• Strong technical knowledge of operating systems, networking, hardware, software and end-user support.


• Proven direct line management experience, with a strong track record of leadership, collaboration, and knowledge sharing.
